Cayuga Lake out of Long Point 6/12
Guided Kevin and his son Hunter today starting just after 6:30 am. Lake trout action was very good to start in the morning and gradually slowed down for us, though it never got too slow – hits were had throughout the day. Ten lakers were landed. We had a couple lakers that were dinks – a 14″er and a 16″er, which are both rare catches while jigging Cayuga Lake. Most fish ran 24″ to 28″. We checked some mid-lake areas without much action, though cold inshore water may have a lot of lakers in less than 30′ of water. Expect the thermocline to set up within the next week. We had 58 to 60 degrees on top.
