Cayuga Lake out of Myers 7/18

Reports

Back out with Will today for another full day.  We spent a little time trying for pike/pickerel without any sign of them. This isn’t a time I typically fish for them but we gave a couple areas a fair shot to see if we could raise any.   Plenty of lakers were around nearly everywhere we checked but the bites were tentative.  Will landed a nice 27″er and lost a good one that he had up to the leader.  High point of the day was a solid, gorgeous 27″ brown that we kept that was just shy of 9lbs.  Great looking fish and great fight.  Lakers came from 65′ to 70′ out to 130′.  The bloom continues and water clarity is about 30″. Fish have been active at times but bite windows are small.
