Cayuga Lake out of Myers Park 8/2

Reports

Guided Mark and his son Grant and daughter Sabrina for a full day that we wound up a bit early. We launched just after 6:35 AM and were fishing by around 7. Fish are well-distributed now on Cayuga Lake and the action is top-notch. It was one of the best days we’ve had this year – certainly the best since prior to the crazy rain we received throughout most of July. Lake trout action was a little slow for the first hour or so but then picked up. Highlights of the day included Mark’s nice 21″ salmon and some nice lakers caught by all. But Sabrina really caught a beauty – a gorgeous 27″ brown that fought great. A few of the lakers were the best fighting fish of the day which is always great to see. Over 15 fish were landed.

Cayuga remains the top lake in the region for mixed bag salmonid fishing. These ARE the good old days!
