Cayuga Lake out of Myers Park 8/26 AM

Reports

My long run of guide trips continues – I have one more and then I have a couple days off.  As of this writing, September 1st – 3rd is open as is the morning of the 4th and the 6th.  After that I have the 9th through the 15th open, then the 17th through the 20th and the 22nd through the 28th and 30th.  That’s what’s open in September.  Fishing remains good to very good on Cayuga Lake.  Surface temperatures are around 70 degrees.

Guided Dan, his mom Marilyn and his nephew Liam for a 1/2 day.  Fishing got off to a great start with a couple of quick fish, and then we had a lull of maybe a half-hour.  After that, the fishing was pretty hot until maybe 11 am, when it slowed down a bit. All in all, it was an excellent morning and we got into the double-digits.  The guys kept a bunch of fish today and they were in good condition.  Fish came from around 110′ to 130′ for the most part.  The lake looks great.  Best color was a white/chartreuse tail 3.25″ Shaker.   No photos today.
