Cayuga Lake out of Myers Park 8/31
Guided a full day trip with Joe and his son William. The guys have been coming out with me since William was around 8 years old – he’s 16 now. I met Joe at a concert around 10 years ago and he told me he had a young son that he wanted to get into fishing. We always have a lot of fun onboard and today was no exception.
Fishing was very good today. William really had the hot hand landing the majority of the 8 or 9 lakers landed. I give Joe a break, since he was taking care of some work while onboard. Fish were much more active today than they were when I was out yesterday. A lot of fish were around! The winds were blowing out of the south and water temperatures normalized a bit today after the weekend’s strong north winds. Absolutely perfect weather out there and boat traffic was minimal.
After a very busy past three months my schedule is finally slowing down a bit. I’m looking forward to doing some fishing on my own and with my buddies. It has been a long time! Available dates are listed on my last report, which I did update after having to shuffle a date or two around.
