Cayuga/Taughannock + Seneca/Geneva 8/12

Reports

8/12 AM: Great fishing this AM with Russ and his 9 year old son Kyle. We started at 6 am and it was well worth getting up early. Lots of chasers and hooked fish. The guys got a grasp of the technique and landed some quality lakers up to around 28″. We had trouble catching smaller “eaters!” Not the worst problem to have! Lots of fun action on the fish finder and the lakers have been strong fighters lately.

PM Geneva: I took a break and then started my PM trip at Geneva at 4 pm with Jim and Les. I met the guys a few weeks ago at the launch when I was guiding a different party. We had a slow start, but the laker action rallied later in the evening. Around 7 or 8 nice fish were landed to 28″. 85′ to 110′ held plenty of fish. A lot of fish are probably on the move south, though the north end still holds quite a few.
