Seneca Lake out of Sampson State Park 7/23 AM

Reports

Guided Billy and Chris for a 1/2 day trip.  They are up on Seneca Lake for a big family reunion.  Neither one fishes a whole lot.  This weather pattern has made for hot fishing throughout Central NY and today was no exception.  The fishing wasn’t fast and furious, but the guys managed 8 nice lake trout.  We released two of the smaller ones, although both were legal.  All our fish were hatchery fish today and they ran from 16″ to 27″.   We fished from 85′ to 110′ FOW today.  For what it’s worth, a lot of weedmats are floating around the surface of Seneca Lake and the water fleas are fairly thick.  Lake clarity is still very good!
