Skaneateles Lake 10/27
Guided Gordon for a full day of fly-casting for smallmouth bass. Conditions were sunny and windy with 10 to 16 mph + winds during our entire day. Gordon had fairly steady action today on an olive woolly bugger. He landed a half dozen decent smallmouth bass mainly running 13″ to 16″ long. A few rockbass and some nice perch (along with fair numbers of small perch) also found Gordon’s fly.
A few perch fishermen have been out but I haven’t heard much. A few small walleyes are showing up in perch angler’s catches as well as on the ends of trollers’ lines. Surface temp was 59 degrees and very few boats were out today.
