Guided Suzanne, her husband Jamie and grandson Jayson for a 1/2-day AM trip starting just after 7 am. We had a fine morning of fishing with some nice lakers landed and a 26" chunky rainbow trout being the cherry on top of the day. Most fish were kept today, but for some reason Jayson, who caught the rainbow was unwilling to hold it for a photo. So I obtained a screenshot off of a video. Oh well! It would've made for a great homepage photo.
We had plenty of lake trout and baitfish under us and we were lucky to not have to go far from our launch site today. Best fishing was around 75' to 95'. We had other chases and hits from rainbows as well. My crew wound up landing 9 fish and losing a few big ones. The bite slowed down a lot by 10:30 or 11 am. They showed some signs of life before we left with Jamie aka Alfredo, landing a nice 27"er on one of his last drops of his jig.
If I get a better rainbow pic, I'll post it
