Cayuga Lake out of Myers Park 8/5 AM

Guided George and his sons, George Jr. and Andrew for a 1/2-day-trip getting underway just after 7 am.  Fishing has been remarkably consistent on Cayuga Lake since the algae bloom dissipated.  We usually manage a fish or two early on, get into a 90 minute or so bite window, then wind up with a slow but steady pick until we wrap up.  It hasn't been spectacular, but I'll take it on any day of the week, any time of year.  Rainbows and even a few salmon have been following jigs in.  Trollers we talked to managed a couple legal salmon today, so it's good to hear about some being around.

We managed to hit the double-digits today.  A few other fish were dropped as is usually the case.  Fish ran from 19" to 30".  They continue to fight very well! Whites and chartreuses, along with black have worked the best for us.  Tell Lunker City that they need to make more 3.75" black Shakers!  We had fish today from 70' out to 120'.

The rest of this week through Friday remain open for trips!  I plan on fishing on at least one day if I don't book up.  I'm looking forward to it!

Father knows best! Today he caught the best one - a 30"er.

Andrew with a fat 27"er!

George Jr. with a nice 29"!
