Cayuga Lake out of Myers Park 9/28

Did a double today starting at just after 7 am with Todd.  We started with some different areas than I'd been fishing lately, in hopes of a salmon, rainbow or brown and managed a couple lakers - a small one and one around 25" if I remember right.  Later we fished more typical areas and managed a couple more fish including one at 30.5".

My PM trip was with John.  He was up here with some friends and they followed us in their boat.  They had a much more productive early AM than we did by sticking with more tried and true areas for lakers.  Our PM fishing was good with John nabbing a 31" beauty along with some other nice fish.  In many parts of the lake we had to fish deeper than usual for this time of year - 120' to 150'.  We found good numbers of trout in 85' to 100' in other areas, so it pays to either have a temperature probe or do a bit of searching before fishing.

Latest word on the Otisco Lake State Launch is next year by Memorial Day.
