Cayuga Lake Rainbow Trout Fin-erosion Update

I had a brief conversation with the Cornell researcher that handles fish-diseases/die-offs state wide.  He believes that the fin-rot (aka "erosion") is probably associated with bacteria that proliferates in hot weather/warm water.  We had a very cold winter and spring, but temperatures rapidly rose in mid-June and onwards, so this likely contributed to these issues.  Other friends of mine have caught rainbows recently on Cayuga Lake and have not seen any issues.  Stay tuned!
