Cayuga Lake out of Long Point 9/22 AM
Guided Wayne and his friend Jeff for a 1/2 day starting at around 8:30 am. Jeff completely spaced on getting a license so we spent 40 minutes getting that straightened out. I know I sound like a broken record but make sure you check that you have a license and make sure it is still valid when your trip is approaching. I had an expired license a few weeks ago that resulted in a ticket for my client. It isn’t the end of the world but it is a hassle doing it via smartphone on the lake when it’s so much easier to do at home either online or with a quick phone call during regular business hours.
I don’t think we missed much this AM. We marked some fish and a good amount of bait. A few hits were missed. We tried a few different depths and I decided to make a run. The run paid off with a half dozen terrific lakers landed – 4 in the 28″ to 29″ range, one 27″ and one 25″. Just a bunch of superb specimens. We had our action from 95′ out to 125′ or so.
