Guided a full day trip with Dave and his son Steve starting at 8:30 am. We focused on lake trout and also did a little bit of casting for bass and pike. We marked pretty good numbers of lakers throughout the lake but the bite was a bit tentative. The guys landed 4 fish up to around 28″. No bass (though we only worked one area for around a half hour.) There was a tournament taking place. Pike fishing resulted in two pike landed on spoons and jerkbaits – one was a solid 32″er. I expect pike fishing to pick up by the week. Surface temps were 61 degrees.
