Cayuga Lake out of Long Point 3/25

Reports

Guided Andy today for a half day starting around 10:30 am.  Lake trout fishing continues to be excellent as fish “wake up” with the arrival of spring and longer days.  Today was all catch and release.  Plenty of fish were landed today including a few wild ones.  Fish look terrific with virtually zero lamprey marks.  We worked water from 120′ to 160′ today.  The lake level continues to gradually rise.

Looks like we are in for a week to 10 days plus of more seasonal – i.e. cold and wet, weather.  We certainly need rain.

My availability remains good in April with the exception of Saturdays which are nearly all booked up.

Again – now is the time to become a DEC cooperator if you aren’t already.  I am told that last year’s data is being compiled and we should see the reports within a couple weeks.

A nice laker Andy caught
