Cayuga Lake out of Myers 8/19
Guided Leo and Ada for a full day trip on Cayuga Lake starting around 7:30 am. Lake trout action was slow during the first couple hours of the trip. Three fish were landed and a few good hits missed. Fishing picked up quickly after that and was hot and heavy as the winds switched and the sun broke out. Action slowed down again in the PM. We knocked off a half hour early once they’d caught the fish they wanted. Top laker was around 29″ to 30″. We had a couple wild fish. Had fish from 65′ to 90′. Same lures as reported before. Fish I cleaned are feeding heavily on the abundant alewives.
